THE SOUL OF ALGERIA
For centuries, empires, traders, and civilizations left their mark on Algeria, creating a country rich in history, culture, and timeless beauty. Wander through the winding streets of Algiers, stand among the remarkably preserved Roman ruins of Tipaza and Djemila, and experience the dramatic landscapes of Constantine, where ancient bridges span deep gorges. Far from the crowds of more familiar destinations, Algeria offers something increasingly rare: authenticity. This journey takes you beyond the guidebooks to discover North Africa's hidden treasures, blending fascinating history, vibrant local culture, and unforgettable scenery into one remarkable adventure. From Mediterranean coastlines to ancient cities, every day reveals a new chapter of Algeria's story.
ITINERARY
Day 1
The White City of the Mediterranean
Arrive in Algiers and discover a capital unlike anywhere else in North Africa. French colonial boulevards, Ottoman palaces, bustling markets, and sweeping Mediterranean views create a fascinating first impression. Spend the afternoon exploring the historic Casbah before watching the sunset over the Bay of Algiers.
Day 2
Algiers & Tipaza | Where Rome Meets the Sea
After breakfast, travel west along the coast to Tipaza. Set between turquoise waters and pine-covered hills, the ancient Roman city is one of Algeria's most beautiful archaeological treasures. Wander through centuries-old temples, forums, and amphitheaters overlooking the Mediterranean before returning to Algiers.
Day 3
Constantine | City of Bridges and Clifftops
Fly to Constantine, one of Algeria's most spectacular cities. Built on a rocky plateau and surrounded by deep gorges, Constantine is famous for its soaring suspension bridges connecting one side of the city to the other. Explore the old quarters, admire breathtaking viewpoints, and experience a side of Algeria few international travelers ever see.
Day 4
Djemila | Algeria's Greatest Roman Treasure
Today visit Djemila, one of the finest Roman cities in the world. Unlike many archaeological sites, Djemila sits high in the mountains, creating a dramatic backdrop for its remarkably preserved streets, temples, basilicas, and public squares. Walk through a city built nearly two thousand years ago and imagine daily life on the edge of the Roman Empire. Return to Constantine in the evening.
Day 5
Constantine's Hidden Stories
Spend a full day discovering Constantine beyond the famous bridges. Visit elegant palaces, historic mosques, lively markets, and neighborhoods shaped by centuries of Berber, Arab, Ottoman, and French influence. Enjoy time to explore at a relaxed pace and soak up the atmosphere of one of North Africa's most underrated cities.
Day 6
Return to Algiers & Departure
Fly back to Algiers for your international departure. Leave Algeria with memories of dramatic landscapes, Mediterranean charm, and some of the most impressive Roman ruins on the African continent—places that remain largely undiscovered by mass tourism.
