IN THE LAND OF SOUTH AFRICA’S GREAT SAFARIS
In South Africa, safari isn’t something you observe from a distance — it happens right in front of you. In Sabi Sands Game Reserve, one of Africa’s most exclusive wildlife areas, there are no public roads and no self-drive access. Only a limited number of vehicles share vast private wilderness, creating rare, uninterrupted encounters — especially with leopards at close range, something few places on Earth can match. From here, the journey shifts from raw bush to ocean and mountains, moving seamlessly between untamed wilderness and the coastal beauty of Cape Town. This is not a standard safari route. It’s controlled access, fewer vehicles, and higher-quality sightings — designed for proximity, not crowds.
ITINERARY
Day 1
Arrival into the Bush
Arrive at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and transfer directly into the exclusive wilderness of Sabi Sands Game Reserve. Check in at Umkumbe Bush Lodge and settle into the rhythm of the bush. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive — open vehicles, no fences, and wildlife moving freely through one of Africa’s most productive safari ecosystems. Return to lodge for dinner under the stars.
Day 2-4
Safari in Sabi Sands
Early morning and late afternoon game drives in one of Africa’s most exclusive wildlife areas. This is where Sabi Sands stands out — no public access roads, limited vehicles, and highly experienced trackers reading the bush in real time. Leopard sightings are a highlight here, often at close range and in natural behaviour. Between drives, relax at the lodge, listen to the bush, and watch wildlife pass through nearby waterholes.
Day 5
Transfer to Cape Town
Final morning safari and breakfast in the bush. Fly from Kruger region to Cape Town, where the landscape shifts completely — from savannah to ocean and mountains. Evening at leisure around the V&A Waterfront with views of Table Mountain.
Day 6
Table Mountain & City Life
Start with the iconic Table Mountain, where the city, ocean, and mountains open up in every direction. Then explore the historic Company’s Garden in the city centre, a quiet green space surrounded by museums and government buildings. Spend the afternoon at the V&A Waterfront before ending the day in Camps Bay with sunset over the Atlantic.
Day 7
Cape Peninsula Adventure
A full-day journey along one of the world’s most scenic coastal routes. Drive Chapman’s Peak, explore the Cape of Good Hope, and visit the penguins at Boulders Beach. Cliffs, ocean, wildlife, and endless viewpoints all in one day.
Day 8
Robben Island Heritage & Departure
Take the morning ferry to Robben Island for a powerful guided tour of South Africa’s history, led by former political prisoners and guides who lived through the island’s past as a maximum-security prison during apartheid. Walk through the prison complex, see Nelson Mandela’s former cell, and hear first-hand stories that bring the history to life in a very real and emotional way. Return to Cape Town in the early afternoon with free time to relax, explore the V&A Waterfront, or enjoy final coastal views before departure.

Accommodation Experience
Stay in the heart of the wild at a private Sabi Sands bush lodge, where your room opens onto untouched wilderness and the sounds of the bush replace everything artificial. Wake up to early morning light over the savannah, then unwind on your private deck as wildlife moves quietly through the landscape below.
Evenings are slow and atmospheric — open-air dining, firelight, and stars with no city noise in sight. In Cape Town, the experience shifts to a boutique stay close to the ocean or city center, giving you easy access to Table Mountain, the waterfront, and coastal drives, while still offering comfort, style, and space to relax after each day’s exploration.
